THE CLASSROOM
The classroom is a place which we can all relate to in our histories and hopefully it was a place of positive learning and memories. We certainly have been tested there and life continues to put us through many tests. The hope here is for “healing through teaching” via counseling and/or consciousness training. Both of these modes of healing require great courage, courage to change, and to think for oneself.
Life is a classroom and it is worth exploring as a great and mysterious adventure. We can use a microscope or a telescope and look close up or far away and discover all kinds of interesting aspects about our past, present, future orientations. We can look within and without and discover our self and our oneness with all other life forms as expressions of a great Consciousness. It seems like the season is now for weighing, analyzing, measuring, and observing how we treat one another both locally and globally as all life forms are affected, including the earth herself—our home.
Life also provides us with therapy in its own way by bringing certain circumstances and people into our lives that serve as catalysts for growth and change. Counseling is essentially re-education and so it seems that counseling and training go hand in hand. Either method has healing potential for a thinking, seeking, student type in line with “lifelong learning” and becoming more human and humane toward self and others.
